4th of July plans

Well, it is shaping up to be a busy weekend. Saturday we will spend the day at a friends house who lives on the lake. Fireworks later that night. Kids are very excited. They are really looking forward to it. Sunday, another friends house for a big picnic, volleyball, fireworks, etc. The kids are hoping it won't be too hot that day, as they have ponies that they like to ride. I haven't posted lately, just not much to post. I got to talk to hubby for 47 minutes yesterday, a new record! Yeah. I was excited. He hasn't gotten my other package yet, hopefully in the next few days. Now, I am awaiting one from him. Guess that is all for now. As I don't expect to post anymore till after the holiday, I wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July, enjoy.

Another day...

Well, the kids are loving tennis. whoda thunk it? They are pretty good at it considering this their first time having a tennis racket in their hand. Been worried about dh this last week. He is "traveling" around and I just want him to get back to his location safely. My BIL got married last week. We were beginning to wonder if he ever would! lol Hope someone warned his wife. Just kidding. Cut the grass yesterday, what fun. At least it was nice outside. But what a pain cutting around a swing set and a trampoline! took longer than I thought it would. going to mom and dad's tomorrow for Father's day. hope dh got his stuff. I mailed a month ago so he would get it in time. I have good luck with mail. he has gotten all of my mail/packages in less than 2 weeks. a couple of times, he got his stuff in 8 days! I was thrilled. Just get lucky sometimes. I love the priority mail flat rate boxes. they are awesome!

Ok, summer is here!

Well, it is 10 at night, and it is still in the high 80's with tons of humidity. Thank God for AC. God bless that inventor! lol Talked to dh today, actually had a 30 minute conversation. We usually get cut off after about 12 minutes. That was a nice surprise. He is hanging in there, still in the 100's over there and the sand storms are horrible. Kids had their first day of no school. My son kept asking me, when are we going to have fun? Do something, etc? I said, being out of school is fun. No, I want to go to the beach, go here, go there. What do I look like, a taxi driver? My gosh, the price of gas is crazy. Up and down, up and down, like watching a yo-yo. Speaking of which, my son really wants a yo-yo, I will have to get him one. Some things never go out of style.

Not much going on

Kids have 3 days of school left. They will be taking tennis lessons this summer. they picked the activity. kind of surprised me, but if that is what they want, lets go for it. Talked to dh tonight. His cell phone is finally working half way decent so I was able to call him back and the kids and I could talk to him for more than 10 minutes before getting cut off. They were thrilled. We finally hit 90 today. that may sound weird, but last summer, we only hit 90 degrees once during the whole summer. Totally not normal. Please, recycle, walk, whatever you can to help the enviroment. things are a-changing. Believe me. God help the people in Iraq, as it is 120 degrees in some places, even over 100 at night.
